Emotional Stress Release: A Simple and Powerful Way You Can Remove Stress

One of the most powerful methods of reducing stress can be done in minutes. It is called "Emotional Stress Release" and comes from Touch For Health, a type of Specialized Kinesiology. Kinesiology is a branch of science developed by doctors, chiropractors and acupuncturists in the U.S. They pooled their knowledge and added it to Chinese medicine to develop a new technology that is amazingly efficient at balancing the body so that it can return to excellent health, energy and emotional strength. It stands apart from any other type of health technology, largely due to its use of revolutionary muscle testing.

How Muscle Testing Works

Muscle testing works on the assumption that the body is like an electrical piece of equipment, which is controlled by an incredibly complex computer, namely the brain. The brain is continually in communication with each of the 639 muscles in the body.

If a muscle is electrically in balance, it is possible to measure a constant electrical signal from the brain to that muscle and back again, much the same as two faxes "talking" to each other. However, when the body is overstressed (through a chemical, emotional, structural or electrical cause), the electrical signals in one or more muscles go weak. It is like a fuse in your fuse box blowing. The body figures that it is better to blow a fuse than the whole thing.

This is the basis of muscle testing. For example, if a person has a particular muscle in their arm 'out of balance' (as we say), then they will not be able to hold their arm in a certain position when the kinesiologist applies pressure to it.

Please note that not all kinesiologists know how to muscle test accurately. There are a number of pretests that must be done first to ensure the test is accurate. For example, to test for dehydration, the kinesiologist pulls the client's hair and then tests the arm. If the client is dehydrated (which is often the case), the client will not be able to keep the arm in a certain position when the kinesiologist tests that arm, NO MATTER HOW STRONG THE PERSON IS.

Branches of Kinesiology

There are two main branches of kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology is taught as a five-year doctorate course and is generally more complicated, technical and in the hands of a few select professionals. Applied Kinesiology is often used in conjunction with other modalities, such as chiropractic. Specialized Kinesiology, on the other hand, is simpler and, I believe, more powerful because it is more wholistic. For example, it pays a lot of attention to the emotions. Touch for Health is part of Specialized Kinesiology, and the basics for this can be learned by anyone in a Touch for Health 1 weekend.

Talking to the Body

Once a weakness is located through muscle testing, the kinesiologist can "talk" to the body. For example, by use of muscle testing, the kinesiologist can ask the body any of the following questions: What caused this muscle to go out of balance? If it was a chemical, he can ask the body what specific food or other substance caused the body to go out of balance. If it was a deficiency, he can find out what food will re-strengthen the body. If an emotion caused the imbalance, the kinesiologist can ask what specific emotion is it? What was the specific incident? When did it happen?

Once the emotion is identified, the kinesiologist can then do an extremely simple form of emotional stress relief, which anyone can do even if they can't muscle test. You can do this to yourself or to another person (or an animal).

Emotional Stress Release Technique

Lightly place a few fingers on the other person's forehead while the person "looks at a video" of the emotion (preferably with eyes closed). Most people see pictures. Continue until the pictures are gone. This can take a few minutes (usually) or up to an hour or more. That's all there is to it!

When we are under stress, blood goes to the back of our brains (where memories of the past are located). But when a hand is placed on the forehead, blood moves to the front of the brain, where "new choice" is located. Unfortunately, most of us use the front of the brain only 5% of the time. You may have noticed that when something bad happens, many people often slap their foreheads as an unconscious reaction.

When a hand is placed on the forehead, within a very short period of time (often a few minutes), the person will be less emotional about the particular incident, and therefore less affected by it. If unpleasant emotions or tears appear, just keep doing it until you feel an improvement.

This technique is also good for dyslexia. Most people think that dyslexia is poor right-left brain integration. Kinesiologists have a totally different approach to dyslexia. In almost every instance, "learning dysfunctions" (which almost all of us have to some degree) result from emotional stress at the time of learning, a stress so intense that the individual programs in a blind spot to a given learning skill due to fear of pain or pain itself. Dyslexia results from a denial that learning is possible in a specific area. This denial comes from a conscious choice made in a moment of intense emotional stress. It is a simple neurological function caused by a miscommunication between the fore- and back-brain. In order to correct the dyslexia, it is necessary to defuse the emotional stress, such as through Emotional Stress Release.
