Celtic Twilight Lullabies is exactly what the title sounds like. Musicians from Ireland, Scotland and the United States perform a 14-song collection of traditional and original sweet lullabies in the Celtic tradition. Four of these songs were commissioned specifically for this Hearts of Space album CD. Except for the song "Christina," which is a gentle fiddle tune, all of the songs have vocals including my personal favorite "Suantrai" by Anuna. Actually, Anuna is a mixed chorus ensemble performing a cappella on this old Scottish lullaby, and they sound like a choir of angels in a state of grace. The CD album's collection of soothing songs will set a quiet and reflective mood for the comfort of the listening child, while thoughtful and inspiring lyrics are there to touch the heart of the parent as well. Celtic Twilight Lullabies is available through Hearts of Space at (415) 331-3200 or www.hos.com.
