With his new CD album Camelot Reawakened, Richard Shulman lets us know he is moving towards becoming a significant classical American composer. Based on Shulman's previous CD albums reviewed in the column, Camelot Reawakened is a remarkable leap forward in complexity and sophistication. Not only that, it is truly beautiful music to listen to. But then, Shulman has always stood in a state of grace with his music. The concept for this CD album is that of a society living in harmony with each other and their land-heaven on earth. Camelot Reawakened was recorded live with a 35-piece orchestra made up of members of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. Through piano, orchestration, choir and vocalist solos, it incorporates elements of Folk, Gospel, Jazz and Classical music. This music ranges from soothing to dramatic and from introspective to inspirational. For those of you who enjoy New Age music and classical music this CD album is especially for you. It can be ordered from RichHeart Music at P.O. Box 467, Woodstock, NY 12498.
