It's not often I hear an album that works
as both driving music and massage music. Amethystium
has flowing highs that draw the listener deep inside while
the rolling rhythm moves out into eternity. I agree with the
author who describes it as a combination of ambient, new age,
electronic, darkwave and ethnic music.
I found myself listening to it in the car
over and over as I drove back and forth to work. It's easy
to forget to take this one out. It is primarily instrumental
with a mixture of electronic and acoustic instruments. Several
tracks also use vocals as instruments through chanting and
other creative variations.
I could go on and on about how wonderful
this album is, but that would just delay you from listening
