This award-winning book is simply excellent!
Ciaravino has given us a true "how to" book. She
not only writes about the power of prayer and the why of prayer
but has beautifully outlined how Christians, Jews, Muslims,
and Buddhists practice a prayerful life. Ciaravino does not
indulge in verbose theory and theology but rather connects
for us the obvious fact that it does not matter what label
we attach to God; it matters only that we talk to God. Ciaravino
takes all our objections to why we do not talk to God and
offers us a way to gain a new perspective, a new choice: ".Once
you've shown a light on the dark reasons that keep you from
praying, and once you've implemented some solutions, you wipe
away the negativity." I cannot think of a better way
to approach the new year!
