The Struggle for Balance

What is the balance point in your life? Dramatic planetary aspects in October and November will challenge us to find inner balance as we reevaluate old relationships and closely examine new ones. On a larger scale, the challenge to find balance within our group consciousness will also be at the forefront.

Venus will spend time in Scorpio, adding a mysterious edge to new relationships. Since Scorpio relates to hidden matters, don't be too surprised to find out more about your new companion's past. This aspect should also produce sparks of renewed interest for those couples who have been together for some time. Old flames may return during this period and ignite feelings long forgotten.

Venus goes retrograde on the 10th of October, and this could bring minor conflicts and a desire to distance yourself and keep secrets. Expect these feelings to last until the planet goes direct on November 21st. Retrograde Venus causes us to reevaluate our feelings and examine how and where we fit within our relationships and within the world. Be careful not to act hastily; some of the feelings that arise during this time may not be pleasant. These stressful days can put intense pressure on relationships. This is, however, part of the transformation process that we are experiencing, and it will pass quickly. This aspect also brings up questions relating to social issues. Values will be a keyword on the minds of many people during the fall.

In mid November, Venus will trine Saturn. This is a good aspect and lends structure to personal relationships as well as a positive burst of transformative energy. It will bring a welcome change after the past weeks of Venus retrograde.

Mars will be in Virgo until the 16th of October, when it moves into Libra. Mars in Libra will add some balancing energy to the current planetary mix; however, this is a poor placement for Mars overall, so we can expect some difficulties. Again, this puts the focus on social and humanitarian concerns. There are likely to be many issues surrounding domestic welfare as well as the conflict in the Middle East.

Tensions in the Middle East remain high, and aspects continue to be difficult for this area of the world through October and November. Increased unrest within the countries themselves adds fuel to an already blazing fire. We will see a continued strong connection between the US and Israel. Leaders of both of these countries push for more active roles in the ongoing conflict with Palestine.

There will also be a continued growth of the connection between the US and several European countries. This will prove beneficial to both sides of the water. On an economic level, growth in the European market should aid our economy, with the euro picking up some steam.

On the domestic front, there is still distrust and caution in the investment arena. The dollar will gain a little strength briefly. Chiron in Capricorn focuses healing energy on our economic woes. This is a slow process and investors will still be wary in the fall season. Comfort and security continue to be prime issues on most people's minds.

Major decisions should not be made between late October and early November. There is too much deceptive energy due to the station of Neptune. This planet represents that which is veiled or hidden. Business and financial deals are better left until mid-November, when a Saturn Uranus trine will be beneficial to companies. If absolutely necessary, make sure that things are checked and rechecked, so there is no doubt about the minor details and exactly what they mean.

Caution should be used in both travel and sporting activities in the middle weeks of November, since a Sun Uranus square can bring a danger of accidents. Weather patterns are fairly evenly paced, but most of the country can expect a quick change over to fall weather with an early, and likely long, winter. Late storms on the Southeast coast and in the Gulf are a danger.

While Mars and Venus are pushing at us now to transform on an inner level, Uranus and Neptune will present us with opportunities to expand our consciousness and grow as a society. In the chaos of the past year, it became easy to forget that the world itself is moving into a time of transformation and evolution. After being retrograde for some time, Uranus and Neptune turn direct. A new phase of our journey begins as the Aquarian age receives a fresh burst of energy. Interest is sparked in the fields of alternative energy and medicine, and the concept of where they fit in our society goes through some growth. Everything old is new again in the Aquarian age. Spiritual concepts move back to the fore
