Astrological Forecast

On September 11, 2001, our world was permanently changed.  For a long time, the threat of terrorist activity has loomed in our country; still, many people held the belief that nothing would happen here.  Two powerful planets, Saturn and Pluto are now in opposition.  This opposition has occurred many times in the past, including periods in 1914 and 1940.  These were, of course, periods of impact for World Wars one and two.  Other periods of Saturn- Pluto opposition have only resulted in slight or short-term economic recessions.  This might not sound like an up side, but compared to a long term war it is.  Pluto is the lord of the underworld and its resources, which include oil, so we should not be surprised to see the oil-rich countries of the Middle East involved in our current situation.  Tensions in the Middle East have been growing at a fast pace this year.  I have stated in several past articles that we need to focus a lot of light around this region of the world.  We need to continue to do so, while focusing on the safety of those important to us.

Watch those in power closely during this time.  It will be obvious who our leaders are and what they believe in.  Meditate when possible and you will find clarity.

As far has the other planets go, Venus travels quite a bit in this two-month span.  It hits Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius.  This is a jaunt through fire, earth and air and may make your love life feel as up and down as the stock market.  Sagittarius is fiery and emotional, so watch out for extreme reactions until the 27th of December, when the move to Capricorn is made.  This will put the focus more on material possessions and wealth.  On January 20th, Venus moves into Aquarius.  This is an uneasy position for Venus, and you may encounter some rather odd or eccentric people during this time.  Keep an open mind; those who seem different often have something important to share.

Mars enters Pisces on the 9th of December.  This is a weak position for Mars, as the watery energy of Pisces zaps the natural strength of Mars.  Emotional reactions are possible now, so be careful of sudden reactions.  Don't let resentment or frustrations build up.  This can also indicate a time of secret activity. Don't be paranoid, but do pay attention to things happening around you.  We all must be conscious of more subtle terrorist attacks, such has the spread of anthrax, smallpox or other diseases.

There is a positive note, this can be an excellent time for artistic or musical expression.  Take the time to indulge in the arts, and it will bring some peace and calmness into your life.

On January 19th, Mars moves into Aries.  This is a powerful position with the fiery red planet in a fire sign.  This is a good time for physical activity and exercise.  It is also an excellent time to take the initiative on that project you've been putting off.  Unfortunately, with the other aspects of this time, there is a higher level of danger for more violence from the Middle Eastern forces.  Once again, use caution and common sense.

The concern and outright fear present in the country at this time can be very disturbing.  Jupiter is moving retrograde in Cancer, and this aspect adds to our natural desire to protect the family and stay close to home.  Most people will elect to stay home for the holidays instead of traveling.  Use this time to reconnect with the strength of close family and friends.  Tighten the bonds with the people you feel close to.  There is both comfort and safety in this energy.

Retail businesses may have a difficult time meeting their sales goals this holiday season.  On the up side, online companies will probably have their best year yet.  If you do decide to get out and shop, you're likely to find some great bargains for the holidays.

The outer planets, Uranus and Neptune, both continue their journey in Aquarius.  This is a big part of the forces of change going on across the country.  Genetically engineered diseases, such as the Anthrax and smallpox present in the country, are ruled by the darker side of Uranus.  With the current aspects, we can expect to see a continued threat for the near future.  Be sure to take common-sense precautions, but do not react out of a state of fear.

The amount of change happening at this time is incredible.  Each of you must decide, if you perceive the glass as half full or half empty.  This may seem like a dark period, but it is a powerful time of transformation for each of us.  Astrology can work as a roadmap for us, but true guidance comes from spirit.  More people are turning to religious beliefs than ever before.  Pray, meditate, connect with spirit in whatever way works for you, and you will find your true path laid out before you like a golden road.

Many blessings and good luck on your journey.
