I had never heard of James Twyman, the man
they call the "Peace Troubadour," prior to seeing
the first promotional piece in March for his concert. So before
buying a ticket to hear him, I decided to do a little research.
I logged on to his website and read summaries of his books
and his bio. I bought "Emissary of Love"
and read it in an afternoon. I knew right then and there that
I wanted to meet this man in person - the man who sings songs
of peace in cities ravaged by war, a man who has dedicated
his life to making the world a better place to live.
Touched by his profound love for humanity,
an energy that one can feel by reading his books, I knew in
my heart that his songs would touch my soul. And yet I was
unprepared for the sanctity of his music. Putting prayers
to music, including those of different faiths, was a transformational
and moving experience. He asked the audience to participate
in singing a song made up of prayerful words from some of
the world's major religions. As we each sang whichever words
we wanted to, "Shalom," "Shanti,", "Om
Mani Padni Om," "Al'-e-la-ha, el'-a la-hoo,"
or "Gloria," I was struck by the oneness of the
sounds as they fused into something almost holy. The sounds
merged together, each having a role in making up the whole,
reminding us that we are a world of many peoples and many
tongues. It doesn't matter if you know the direct translations,
as the sounds transcend the need to know. They are imbued
with the same energy, an energy that makes them all one. There
are no barriers, no judgments. I felt like I had become one
with the universe. My eyes filled up with tears.
James is a one-man orchestra. He uses high-tech
electronics and his voice to create the illusion of many instruments
and backup voices. He masterfully crafts his musical background
by adding each sound one by one, starting with percussion
instruments that include a Tibetan singing bowl, then a wooden
flute with its sometimes, almost haunting tones, and then
his voice, adding harmonies to his final layer, the song that
is now ready to be sung with all the necessary supporting
sounds. He sometimes plays his guitar, while other times he
just uses his voice, which is full of love and compassion.
It is as though every cell and fiber of his being is fully
engaged.
And the night was not all about singing.
James shared his story about meeting the psychic children
of Bulgaria, also known as the Children of Oz.
One evening, while giving a talk in California,
James met a young boy from Bulgaria named Marcos, who introduced
him to the mission of the psychic children. He shared with
him some personal information about James's childhood and
asked him if he too would like to be able to "jump inside
people and know things about them." Of course he said
yes. So Marcos touched him. They continued their conversation
and after about a five minutes, others then came up to talk
with James. He tried to keep an eye on Marcos but lost sight
of him. And when he asked others the next day if they had
seen Marcos too, everyone responded that only adults were
present.
The next day, the "power" that
Marcos had instilled in James began to manifest. While eating
his cereal, just as he had done on any other day, he held
his spoon in his left hand. But on this day, right before
his very eyes, the spoon bent at a 90 degree angle, as if
someone had held it under a blow torch. The bending of cutlery
and having a new mechanism for verifying the truth marked
the beginning of a new adventure, a new phase in his bringing
peace to the world.
Sometimes amazed and at others times frightened
with his new "gift," James was driven to find Marcos.
One day, on the spur of the moment, he booked a flight for
Sophia, Bulgaria, where he found the psychic children being
taken care of by monks in a very, secluded monastery.
The message of the children is that they
are asking people all over the globe to act as if they already
are Emissaries of Love - to live as if it is already true.
In his interview with one of the children, Anna, she says,
"The question is whether you're ready to act as if you're
loved by God. People think that God doesn't love them, and
so they act as if that's true. That's why the world is the
way it is right now. They say with their mouths that God is
here and loves them like a mother or a father, but they don't
believe it in their hearts. But what would happen if they
really did believe it? Then, the love that's all around them
would start to extend from them to touch other people, and
then everyone would be healed. It's really very simple."
The psychic children are located throughout
the world and they have come with the same mission, to spread
God's love. These children are gifted psychically, as they
can bend spoons, or make flower buds open, or move objects
telekinetically. But this is not their focus. They want to
share their love and the ability for each and every one of
us to truly feel God's love in our hearts.
I could tell you more about the story or
even how it ends, but you may want to read Emissary
of Love and find out for yourself. However, whether
you choose to do so or not, the question that the children
pose and that you may want to ask yourself is, "How would
you act if you knew you were an Emissary of Love right now?
Begin."
If you missed this wonderful opportunity
to hear James, he will be back in NC on October 8 in Boone.

Thank you, James, for your gift to the world
- a gift that is far more valuable than bending spoons or
opening flower buds or moving objects.
May peace prevail on Earth!
