Astrological Forecast

June brings the beginning of summer and with it the urge to travel and enjoy the sun. Astrological events over the next two months highlight the desire to experience life and express creative energy. This is a perfect time to try something you've always wanted to but have put off for one reason or another. Be it scuba diving or bungie jumping, leap in and have fun! If your taste runs in a vein that's a bit more tame, never fear, this is also a heightened time for intellectual and literary pursuits. This period sees seven planets move through the air signs of Gemini and Aquarius. Air signs are mind-oriented, so this puts a great deal of focus on mental activity. This is a time for new ideas, new patterns of thinking and new mental processes. This energy may cause many of you to spend part of your summer in school or doing continuing education of some sort.

Mercury is in Gemini in June, and on the 4th it goes retrograde. Mercury is the messenger of the Gods. When this planet moves backwards, it often marks a period of miscommunication and scattered thoughts. Be very careful signing documents or agreements during this time. If you must sign your name to something, make sure to read and reread to insure complete understanding. Likewise, when communicating, make sure that others are clear with what you are saying. This retrograde will last through the 27th of June.

In early June, Venus moves into Taurus. Venus is the natural ruler of Taurus, and the Goddess of Love will be quite an influence during this time. Don't be surprised to find a new romantic interest entering your life. Someone you met over the last couple of months may finally express their interest. For those already in relationships, this is a period to enjoy some real quality time together. Taurus enjoys the sensual things in life. Fine food, wine, flowers and romantic music. Pay attention, gentlemen, and sweep that special lady off her feet.

Taurus also rules the banking system, so we may see a brief comeback in the stock market. Don't be deceived, though; other aspects indicate that the market will continue to be unstable. If you're really in tune, you might make a profit this summer, but expect to see lots of people taking major losses.

Venus moves into Gemini in early July. Explore common interests with both old friends and the new people in your life. Gemini in Venus is active energy, so remember that new relationships need to be explored and experienced. Get outside and do some travel together to learn more about each other. Remember, "variety is the spice of life."

Mars is in Sagittarius for the next two months. The focus here is in the areas of spiritual and religious beliefs. There is also a connection to the legal system. It's very possible we could see a major decision from the Supreme Court in July or a legal case that captures the nation's attention.

Jupiter continues its journey in Gemini until the middle of July. This aspect is conducive to new friendships, travel and intellectual pursuits. On July 14th, Jupiter will move into Cancer. Morality and philosophy move more into the forefront. Children born during this time will have a very deep, loving connection with their parents.

Saturn is in Gemini both months, and the focus here is discipline. Organize yourself and your business affairs for optimum benefit this year. Problem solving and practicality are key words of this aspect. We'll also see new types of business structures and the beginning of changes in communications and technology.

On the international scale, the unrest in the Middle East shows no sign of calming down. Libya may become aggressive with its neighbors and some rumblings may begin again in the Iraq-Iran region. There is also a threat of more terrorist activity here in the States and in Europe.

The outer planets-Uranus, Neptune and Pluto- are all retrograde in June and July. This is a time when many people are wondering where they should be going and what they should be doing. There is a feeling right now that we're all on the verge of something major. Some big changes are being set in motion and we'll see the effects well into the fall. Use the energy of these transits to search your inner self. This is the time to discover your destiny and answer your spirit's call.
