A Word from the Editor...
Dear Readers…
As family members or dear friends share with me the latest news on their health crises, I sometimes wonder how I would cope with similar news. Would I follow an allopathic doctor’s advice completely, thinking the doctor knows what he/she is doing and making it easy for myself? Or would I choose a path of total natural healing, running as fast as I could away from prescription drugs, chemicals, operations, etc.? Would I do my own research and get overwhelmed with the plethora of information hitting the world wide web? Would I make the needed lifelong changes to ease pain, possibly “cure” the disease, and/or prevent future occurrences of it? Or would I succumb to life’s stresses and give in to old habits, taking the road of “when it’s your time to go, it’s your time to go.” Would I know the right questions to ask? Would I choose the right healing path for me?
Questions. Questions. Questions. They can go on and on and on. No one knows for sure how we would handle a health crisis. So many factors would play into our chosen path of recovery – family, work, money, stress, just to name a few. The operative word here is “chosen” because we do have a choice in how we manage our own health.
This issue provides a gentle reminder that YOU can be in charge of your own healing. Explore your options, ask a lot of questions, and remind yourself that what you give to the universe, the universe will give to you (Law of Attraction). And, as Debby Bruck says in her audio column on lymphedema (online at InnerchangeMag.com), LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!
Stay positive. Stay hopeful. Stay well. And… Live, Live, Live!
