It is somehow comforting to know that people so long ago were asking the same questions, and getting the same answers, that we still do today. Krishna admonishes Arjuna that people have become to concerned with the material world and have forgotten that love is the force that will ultimately change lives. Krishna reminds us that it is our expectations that create our suffering and that the grief we experience is as impermanent as the bodies we inhabit. Love, the divine source, is the only thing of permanence and anything of impermanence should be regarded with simple detachment. Hawley offers a transformative experience to those seeking to find out who they are, why they are here, and what it takes to thrive rather than merely survive. This slim volume is a must have. Atwater, LHD, 2005 Bear & Company, Rochester, VT Finally, a breath of fresh air in the study of indigo children and how to facilitate the realization of their full potential. The children of the Fifth World of the Mayan Calendar began arriving in 1982. Atwater associates the Fifth World with the fifth chakra that represents the will. It is no surprise that these children exhibit incredible will power and challenge mundane conventions. Although learning in a conventional setting can be difficult for the indigo children, Beyond the Indigo is the first book to offer down to earth, practical advice for supplementing their education and seeking alternatives. Atwater does not suggest that these children should be allowed free reign and treated with kid gloves. Rather, she offers guidance in dealing with the special challenges associated with nurturing these children to their maturity and facilitating their transition into their responsibilities in leading the earth through the next evolutionary leap.
