Flexing Your Soul - Moving with Energy and Consciousness
by Jalieh Juliet Milani and Alessandra Shepard, PhD
Published by pathwork.org

If you were to quickly thumb through Flexing Your Soul, you would think it is just another exercise manual. But after more indepth review, you'll soon discover that it is more about connecting your body, mind, spirit and emotions through movement. It's not yoga. It's not aerobics. It's a series of movements based on Core Energetics.

The book is divided into "body part" sections - starting at the feet, ending at the head, with a section for the full body. Within each section are several exercises broken down into easy to- follow steps with accompanying photographs. An "energy and consciousness" explanation is provided for each exercise. This addresses how the exercise relates to the chakras, emotions, and thoughts.

This is an attractive book with a lot of valuable information in a clear, understandable format. The exercises are designed for anyone at any fitness level and can be done alone or with a partner or group. If you are looking for a form of exercise that integrates your entire being, consider Flexing Your Soul.

Flexing Your Soul was written by mother and daughter team Jalieh Juliet Milani and Alessandra Shepard, PhD, an Innerchange advertiser, from Durham, NC. Both are Core Energetics Therapists.
